We’re starting the first Christmas post of 2020 with a very exciting gift idea from Drinks By The Dram. As you might remember I normally feature their advent calendars each year as they are a favourite of mine, however this year I wanted to share another great gift idea for the whisky lovers in your life that’s slightly different!
If you’ve tried the Drinks By The Dram advent calendars then you will notice that the Irish Whiskey Collection (£45) is very similar in the fact that you open little doors to discover what’s behind. However, you get to open them all of Christmas day instead of in the lead up which is exciting! This contains 12 different 30ml wax-sealed drams of Irish whiskey from some incredible producers, which are sure to please any whisky lover.
I wanted to share what Irish whiskeys were included; so starting with the first four these are:
- Drinks By The Dram – Hinch Single Pot Whiskey
- Teeling – Single Grain
- That Boutique-y Whisky Company – Irish Single Malt No.1 13 Year Old
- Teeling – Single Malt
- Egans – Vintage Grain
- Drinks By The Dram – Hinch Peated Single Malt
- J.J. Corry The Gael – Batch 1
- That Boutique-y Whisky Company – Irish Single Malt No.2 12 Year Old
- That Boutique-y Whisky Company – Irish Single Malt No.1 15 Year Old
- Teeling – Small Batch
- Egans – Fortitude
- Roe & Co – Blended Irish Whiskey
Overall this is a great gift for any whisky enthusiast whether they have tried many different types of whisky previously, or they’re just starting to discover and explore the different producers. This Christmas gift is perfect for both of these as all 12 drams are exceptional Irish whiskey and cover a good range from single pot to multi grain, so something for everyone. Also if you purchase this for someone as a Christmas present and there is a particular dram of whisky that they fall in love with, this would make a great present to then purchase the full sized version for a later celebration in the year. However if this sounds like something that you would personally love, why not treat yourself!
You can purchase this directly from Drinks By The Dram and I think that at £45 this works out to be a very good price, only £3.75 per dram! Who do you know that would love this for Christmas?
