There’s nothing like being by the sea, it’s my favourite place to be and there’s something so relaxing about it. Last weekend me and Aaron decided to take a little trip down to Brighton with Luna, even though it was freezing cold the sun was shining and it was the perfect day to go down to the seaside. Living in such a busy city it’s so lovely to get away every now from the hustle and bustle and still along the coast.
After introducing Luna to the sea and her almost being taken out by a wave (oops) she went home with Marie and Poppy who is a cockapoo whilst me and Aaron explored the independent shops down The Lanes. We popped into Choccywoccydoodah and eyed up all the incredible cakes before looking in a few other independent stops, there are so many unique things that you can purchase which makes everything even more irresistible as you don’t know if you’ll see them again.
Walking down Brighton Pier I couldn’t resist trying to win a Pikachu and Unicorn in the arcade which was slightly pointless as the machine didn’t even attempt to grab them however I enjoyed it anyway. I’ve always loved grabber machines and even though I know it’s hard to win on them as they don’t grab properly I love them all the same although I’m pretty sure that it was much easier to win the toys when I was younger. Aaron bought a stick of rock as you can’t go to the seaside without getting one to take home then we headed inside for some fish and chips. There’s something about having fish and chips by the sea, it’s something we always do.
We ended our day out with a stroll along the pebble beach and watched the sunset before picking up Luna. I couldn’t resist getting that typical sitting on the beach photo and had the perfect end to such an amazing day. I’ve often thought about moving to live near the sea one day, I won’t be moving away from Oxford anytime soon but I think I will at some point move next to the seaside.
If you didn’t know I’m currently weekly vlogging and filmed a few bits of our trip to Brighton so you can watch that below if you’re interested. I’m planning on going to Brighton again so if you have any recommendations on places I should visit there let me know in the comments as I’d love to know your favourite places and what new places I should explore!

She’s such a little fluff ball! xx
I said it before but I’ll say it again, Luna is just the cutest! I’ve been to Brighton a few times but my most recent trip was back in October for an event with work. We held an event at the BA i360 and took a flight during sunset. If you ever have the time I would definitely book tickets – it’s such an experience :)

Luna is the cutest puppy ever! :D
Brighton is one of my favourite cities in the UK. Being by the seaside is so relaxing and comforting, plus the Lanes are the best place to go for vintage fashion and cute independent cafés!
