If you follow me on Instagram or twitter you would have seen that a few days ago I was over the moon to be invited to the AX Paris Bloggers Party in London. The event took place last night at Proud Carabet which is a Burlesque Club centred around 1920’s glamour. I’ll just quickly show you what I wore to before telling you all about the exciting things that happened! I wore my new cream lace dress from ASOS, my black heels also from ASOS and my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30.
I met up with the lovely Sophia from Fifi Loves beforehand and then made our way to the venue. When we entered Proud Carabet we were welcomed with Martini’s and then had our photo taken in front of the AX Paris stand. The venue itself had velvet drapes and purple plush booths, it definitely felt like walking into the 1920’s. There was also candles, cupcakes, biscuits and PR cards on all of the tables which was a really cute touch. There was a wide range of Martini’s and Daiquiri’s at the bar and lots of food such as mini burgers, chicken and sausages. Also there was a Pick and Mix stand which I quickly made my way to as soon as I spotted it! AX Paris had their latest collection out on display, I had a little browse and instantly fell in love with a red lace skater dress! There was a lot of mid length dresses in a wide range of colours and textures as well as a lot of delicate detailing on a lot of their dresses. You can check out their new collection on their website www.axparis.co.uk
After about an hour the show started, there were some amazing burlesque acts including saucy acts, belly dancing, a woman who ate fire, and another who danced with a sword. I thought all of the acts were outstanding and the man who was our host was very funny, singing and going round to everyone doing silly things, he even licked one girls hair haha!
Half way through AX Paris showcased their new collection on the catwalk, I fell even more in love with the Red Lace Skater Dress, it was absolutely gorgeous! We also saw their new ad which was very exciting, I loved it!
At the end we were all given goodie bags which was really exciting, I couldn’t wait to get home to see what I had been given. It included brands such as Barry M, Zoeva, Neal & Wolf and lots more!
Sorry that some of the photos are a little blurry, it was quite dark inside when the acts were on so I couldn’t take the best photos. Also I just want to say a huge thank you to AX Paris and EtailPR for inviting me, I had the best time! Hope everyone else who went had an amazing time too!
