If you haven’t heard about it already Benefit have released a new mascara! You could get this early before the release date as a smaller sample size was a free gift with Elle magazine. After I heard everyone raving about how amazing it was I knew I had to try it out for myself to see if it was really as good as everyone was saying!
Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara has an eye opening “Hook ‘n’ Roll” brush which is meant to grab, separate, curl and set. It’s based around hair rollers which you can tell from the full-sized product packaging . The brush itself is curved and smaller than their previous mascara wands which makes it easier to apply, especially in the corners of your eyes. The mascara also has a ‘wand wiper’ built in which is meant to ensure that the brush doesn’t have too much product so that the eyelashes can be separated easily.
Now onto what I thought, does it work? YES! When I first applied this I felt a slight tug on my lashes which is down to the little hooks on the brush which grab even the smallest of lashes. After just one coat they were curled and separated. I think it separates the lashes so well because of the comb like plastic brush, even if you build it up for a more dramatic effect it’s still clump free. The formula itself is very lightweight and quite wet, however it doesn’t smudge or flake. You can easily achieve length and volume with this mascara, and as it curls your lashes it opens up the eyes. It’s actually designed for those with straight and shorter lashes however if you already have long curled lashes, I feel that this will emphasis that even more!
As you can see above I’ve shown what my lashes look like before applying the mascara and after I’ve applied it, I think it’s such a big difference and I love it! If you had previously tried out Benefits They’re Real mascara but felt it weighed your lashes down too much, I’d definitely recommend this. Have you tried out their new mascara yet?
