I’ve been a big fan of Benefits They’re Real Mascara for quite a long time, it’s one of my favourites as it gives my lashes amazing volume and length. The Push-Up liner on the other hand is a product I had never tried out before so was excited to try it out. They’re now available in colour and I’m excited to share them with you!
I was excited that Benefit had released the They’re Real Mascara in Beyond Brown (£19.50*) as I think the brown is a lot softer and more natural looking for everyday wear, it creates a ‘your eyelashes but better’ effect which is beautiful. The formula is exactly the same as the original in black which I’m happy about as it gives extra volume and length to my lashes. I actually love brown mascara after using Benefits BADgal brown mascara for as long as I can remember, I’ve been converted and will definitely be purchasing this from now on as it gives a little more ‘oomph’.
The Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner in Beyond Blue (£18.50*) makes a lovely change from black eyeliner and is a product I was quite curious to try out. It’s very simple to use as you just twist the base which pushes up the gel to the rubber tip, then just glide along your lash line. Now the first time I used this I wasn’t that over keen as its came out crumbly, however I realised I was making a mistake! What I did was twisted the pen too much so there was excess product on the tip, when I realised this I twisted the liner just a little bit and found that it was creamy and easy to apply (a little goes a long way, there is no need to twist too much). It’s precise and smooth to apply so if you love winged liner but you’re like me and not great at it, you might love this as it makes it so much easier to achieve that look. The liner is navy so you can easily add a pop of colour to your makeup look without being too daring, however this also comes in purple and green if you’re feeling more adventurous.
As you can see by the swatch it is quite a dark blue therefore is easily wearable and like the mascara is a great way to incorporate a pop of colour into your makeup look. Overall I love both of these products and will definitely be trying them out in different colours in the near future. Let me know if you’ve tried them out too and if not what colour would you love to try!
