Halloween at Blenheim Palace 2025 | Something Wicked This Way Comes

As the autumn leaves fall and the nights draw in, Blenheim Palace once again transforms into a realm of Halloween wonder. This year’s Blenheim Palace Halloween Trail promised more thrills, chills, and eerie encounters than ever before and it didn’t disappoint. It had everything from cursed tombs and ancient rituals to glowing spiderwebs and towering skeletons.

Set within the breathtaking grounds of Blenheim Palace, this Halloween after-dark trail invites visitors to explore a world where the line between fantasy and fright blurs beautifully.

The trail began by walking past eerie skeletons and through a haunted graveyard before entering the medieval dungeon, where the clang of iron chains echoed through the night and an axe-wielding executioner was waiting. After making it past him there was the cursed tomb, home to an entrancing Egyptian fire show which was a really unique experience.

We walked down the twisting pathways lined with carnivorous plants where a monster lived and watched the visitors closely just before entering lair of the demon barber, whose razor-sharp secrets are not for the faint-hearted.

Every corner of this Oxfordshire Halloween trail revealed a new surprise, part spectacle, part story, and entirely spellbinding. Even if you visited last year, I’d recommend going again as it’s a completely different experience this year!

Whether you’re looking for family-friendly Halloween fun or something a little more thrilling, the Blenheim Palace Halloween Trail 2025 offers something for everyone. The lighting, music, and theatrical performances create a spine-tingling atmosphere, making it the perfect Halloween event.

No Halloween evening is complete without something delicious to keep you warm. This year’s trail featured a mouth-watering array of seasonal food and drink including bewitched burgers, spooky snacks, and a variety of hot drinks to ward off the autumn chill. Personally I loved the hot chocolate and the cookies to enjoy whilst walking around the trail.

The marshmallow toasting station returned again this year and we all loved warming up whilst toasting our marshmallows in the fire pits before having them covered in melted chocolate and toppings!

This year’s Blenheim Palace Halloween experience feels bigger, darker, and more immersive than ever before creating an unforgettable evening in one of England’s most iconic settings.

Whether you’re local to Oxfordshire or travelling into the city for the evening, this is one of the best autumn events near Oxford and a must-see for the whole family to make magical memories this spooky season.

The Halloween Trail runs from 25th October to 3rd November 2025, with entry times from 17:15 to 21:00. Book your tickets online to secure your spot, the spirits won’t wait forever!
