Spring is officially here and Aprils Birchbox completely reflects that! This month they have collaborated with Rifle Paper Co which is an American cult stationary and lifestyle brand, and the box I received is in the beautiful Herb Garden Print. It’s filled with a selection of Spring beauty products to make you feel ‘blooming marvellous’ for the whole month, so lets see what goodies were included this month!
Cynthia Rowley is a fashion designer who has recently gone down beauty route with a makeup-line exclusive to Birchbox. I use black eyeliner every day and I feel like my makeup isn’t complete without it so I was excited to see what this one was like. It’s very creamy and smooth so I was worried at first that it would easily transfer above my eyes, however it’s smudge proof and stays put all day!
I have very long fine hair which gets tangled extremely easily, so when I spotted this Detangling Leave-In Conditioner by Parlor I couldn’t wait to try it out. You spray this onto damp hair and then style as normal, it contains vitamin B5 and a blend of sweet almond extract to nourish and protect the hair from heat. This isn’t a miracle product where once you have applied it to your hair t’s going to become completely detangled, however it did make the detangling process a lot easier and quicker. It’s something that I have started to incorporate into my hair routine almost on a daily basis.
Feet is an area of the body that I find most people neglect as it gets easily forgotten about, however I always look after my feet and cream them every time I get out the shower as well as overnight treatments. The Foot Care Cream from Kueshi is a nourishing lotion enriched with royal jelly, almond oil and tea tree oil to soften, relieve and soothe the feet. I have used this as an overnight treatment too where I apply liberally before bed and then pop on some cotton socks, if you do this you will wake up in the morning with the softest feet you have ever had.
As you may already know Balance Me is one of my favourite skincare brands, their products contain a lot of natural ingredients which are really good for the skin. I had been on the look out for a new eye cream recently so the Tinted Wonder Eye Cream couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve only used this a few times so far so can’t say how well it works long term, however on a short term basis is soothes my eyes as well as brightens the area making my eyes look more awake (great for when you haven’t had much sleep the night before).
The last product is one of Benefits new releases, Dew the Hoola. This is their bestselling Hoola bronzer in a new liquid formula designed to give your skin a natural sun-kissed glow which is shimmer free. I haven’t tried this out yet as I’m not the best with liquid blushers or bronzers, I find powders a lot easier to apply but will definitely try this out soon to see what it’s like.
I was really pleased with this months Birchbox and there are quite a few products that I’ve enjoyed testing. If you want to try it out for yourself it’s £10 a month plus postage (£2.95) and you will receive your little box of exciting beauty products!
