Over the past few months I’ve been investing more in my winter wardrobe. As summer is my favourite season my winter wear is sometimes overlooked, however recently I’ve been focussing on my style and the look I want to achieve throughout the colder months. For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted a Burberry coat, specifically a trench style coat which is suited for winter. Every time I went into the Burberry store to have a look all their trench style coats they were all in a thin material more suited for Spring which is what they’re intended for, until I fell in love with the Burberry Daylesmoore coat from the Burberry Bicester Village Outlet store.

It was exactly what I was looking for, a classic trench styled coat which is thick and warm. As soon as I tried it on, I fell in love and instantly knew that I needed it in my life. I went for my normal size as even though when I put the belt around it cinches the material, I can comfortably fit a thick fluffy jumper underneath and layer up. As it was from Bicester Village Outlet it was great value so I couldn’t resist!

This classic style will never go out of fashion and the coat is amazing quality, so it can be worn year after year. The details are lovely from the Burberry embossed buttons, to the shoulder pads which give the coat structure. As it’s camel it literally goes with anything and I’ve enjoyed changing my accessories to create different looks.

On this particular day I styled it with another classic piece in my winter wardrobe, my blue check Burberry scarf. This is another timeless piece that I have owned for a couple of years and is a great addition to a variety of outfits. It adds a little pop of colour and I have a few Burberry check scarves in different colours which I like to style with this coat, as they’re also smaller than most of my other scarves they don’t obscure the coat.

Another new addition to my wardrobe is the Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Rose Ballerine Epi Leather. I was lucky to get this bag as it’s sold out online and was the last one available in the Louis Vuitton store on New Bond Street. The epi leather is beyond beautiful and I was torn between the black and rose ballerine, however I felt that even though it’s pink it would still be easy to style with a lot of different outfits that I own. Most of my bags are larger so I was on the hunt for something that’s small but still fits a considerable amount inside, whilst being versatile enough to wear in both the day and evening.

The long strap is removable so even though it’s designed as a crossbody bag, you could also wear it as a normal handbag in your hand or on your arm which makes it transition easily into an evening bag. The silver hardware is stunning and compliments the pink perfectly, and I’ve left the padlock on one of the zips as it’s a lovely little detail.

Another item I was lusting over for my winter wardrobe was a pair on Timberlands, however I was very disappointed after trying on the Classic Timberland Boots as realised they wouldn’t go with my style and looked too chunky. However, I tried on the Heeled Classic Timberland Boots and they fit like a glove. They’re so comfortable to walk in and wear all day, but also look great with the rest of my outfits as the heel gives it a more feminine look.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to continue to build up my winter wardrobe and invest in high quality classic pieces that will last year after year. I can’t quite believe I purchased the Burberry Daylesmoore coat and haven’t stopped wearing it since! Are there any classic pieces in your wardrobe that you would recommend?
