I’m massively into my skincare and love learning about different ingredients and the amazing benefits for your skin. Over the past few months I’ve been testing out a few products from Dr Roebuck’s which is an Australian skincare brand that I hadn’t heard about before. Their products are built on science and their philosophy is ‘minimal ingredients for maximum results’ which is great if your similar to myself and have sensitive skin which is easily irritated. The first product I want to share with you is ‘FACE’ which is an anti-aging moisturiser. When I feel like my skin is lacking hydration this is the moisturiser that I reach for to replenish my skin, and also I love that it contains essential oils and anti-aging properties.
‘POLISH’ is a 2-in-1 facial scrub and mask that I love using at the end of a busy week when my skin feel like it’s in need of exfoliation. It contains biodegradable eco beads which gently remove dead skin cells and target clogged pores leaving my skin looking clear and smooth. I’ve noticed a difference in my skin since using this exfoliator and have even found that my foundation applies and blends easier.
Dr Roebucks have a range of different serums depending on what skin issue you want to target. They are all quite thick in texture therefore a little difficult to squeeze into the dropper, however this isn’t really a problem. The ‘Ultimate Hydrating Serum’ is great if your skin is in need of extra hydration however it leaves a ‘film’ feeling on the skin therefore I prefer to use this in the evening, then in the morning I wash it off and I’m left with soft smooth skin. The ‘Protect & Prevent’ serum is designed for those with stressed skin and it not only hydrates your skin but also strengthens your skin barrier. It contains retinol which helps promote cell turnover, and whilst this has many benefits I would recommend doing a patch test for this product as some people may find that they are sensitive to this ingredient. The ‘Boost & Tighten’ serum is designed for those with dull skin and those who feel their skin lacks elasticity and firmness.
One of my favourite products is the Dr Roebuck’s PURE moisturiser which is perfect for those with sensitive skin as it contains just 7 ingredients, it’s even suitable to help calm irritations caused by eczema as it’s actually formulated specifically for sensitive problem skin. It’s very thick and takes a few minutes to fully absorb into the skin however it doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy. I prefer to use this moisturiser when the weather is cold and my skin feels in need of replenishing as it is very hydrating and my skin is naturally oily, however if you have dry skin then this could be the perfect solution for you.
The last product I want to share by Dr Roebucks is the ‘PURE BODY’ moisturiser which rejuvenates, soothes, hydrates and firms the skin. It’s enriched with powerful antioxidants and I love to apply this all over my body after having a shower. The consistency is thick and it does take a while to massage into the skin however it’s not greasy and is very hydrating. I’ve been enjoying trying out these products from Dr Roebucks over the past few months as it’s a brand that I had previously never heard about and now love.
