Chocolate Blind Taste Test (AD)

I’m excited to share with you today’s post as it’s a little different to my usual posts… a chocolate blind taste test, and you all know how much I love chocolate! My partner Aaron blindfolded me so I didn’t know what chocolate bars I was taste testing; there were four in total. I filmed my reaction for each chocolate as well as described the taste and texture.

The first bar I tried out was creamy and smooth both in texture and taste, it also melted in my mouth. It was very sweet and the chunks were the perfect size to break off, I really enjoyed this!

The next chocolate bar was a lot chunkier and richer, the segments were quite large so I should have probably broken a piece off instead of biting straight into it. It’s milk chocolate and not smooth but actually slightly grainy in texture and thicker. The texture was drier than the previous bar however was very tasty.

Moving onto the next chocolate, this was chewy and filled with caramel and nougat which is a lovely combination. It’s slightly creamy, thick and is full of flavour. As you bite into the chocolate it’s very gooey and sweet.

The last chocolate bar was crispy with a creamy soft filling with a slight hazelnutty flavour. The combination of the two is something I haven’t had before and they complement each other perfectly. It’s airy and was deliciously different to anything else I’ve tried before.

Even though all of the chocolate bars tasted different, the one which was the most unique was the last one (which I later found out was a milk chocolate Kinder Bueno). Kinder Bueno has become one of my favourite chocolates and it comes packaged in two separately wrapped bars so you can give half to a friend or save the chocolate for later, great for if you’re out and about. It’s a crispy wafer shell filled with a hazelnut cream filling which is delicious. The delicate layers work so well together and create a totally different combination of tastes to any other chocolate I have tried before (and I have tried a lot of chocolate). It’s also available in white chocolate which is my favourite as it allows the creaminess of the filling to come through a little more.

Let me know if you have tried Kinder Bueno before and if you prefer the milk or white chocolate version!

I love buenos so much, they remind me of when I was little and used to run around the park with my grandad. Whenever I went on a picnic, I always had a Bueno. x
