Do You Clean Your Beauty Sponges?

I’m normally quite good when it comes to cleaning my makeup brushes and sponges however when they look clean it can be easy to forget or to clean them or put it off for a while. If you look into what is really on your makeup products then it might make you think twice about delaying the cleaning of your sponges and brushes, there are so many germs which are mainly from your own skin (unless you share products) and it does make me want to clean my products on a more regular basis especially my Beauty Blender.

After finding out about all the germs that can harbour on my beauty sponges and makeup brushes I decided to start using both the liquid and solid BlenderCleansers. The Liquid Blendercleanser is formulated with eco-friendly demineralised water and natural sea salt which removes toxins and germs whilst gently lifting out stubborn stains. I’m now using this every time after I use my sponge as the excess oil and impurities that can build up can cause blemishes which is definitely not what I want, and it’s lightly scented with lavender which is lovely! It’s also free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates.

The Pure Solid Cleanser is soy-based and all you need to do is massage a small amount into your damp sponge or brushes to keep them hygienically clean by eliminating all traces of makeup and bacteria. Also as it’s small and is solid it’s perfect for travelling and taking away with you. I’m so glad that I’ve been using both of these as I’ve found they clean my sponges and brushes a lot better in comparison to what I was previously using and actually removes the stains on my sponge, which most other products don’t manage to do.

I definitely want to try these, I just wash my brushes with soap.
