If you’ve been reading my last few posts you will know that I have been trying to incorporate more lifestyle posts into my blog, I think it makes it much more personal and I really enjoy them. I thought I would share a show that I went to recently, the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular at the SSE Arena Wembley in London. Now I am a massive fan of Doctor Who, and when Lucia told me about the concert I knew I had to go! If you’re not interested in Doctor Who then you probably won’t enjoy this post, but if you are then carry on reading!
The show was presented by Peter Davison (the Fifth Doctor) and was quite entertaining throughout. The conductor Ben Foster was incredible along with the whole of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, I had never seen a live orchestra before and it was really something else. Half way through the Daleks ‘took over’ the arena, I was actually really excited to see them in real life moving about the stage and the audience down below. Throughout the show there were many creatures that appeared in the auditorium such as the Silence, Ood and Cybermen (one was stood right next to me which was a little too exciting haha) interacting with the audience.
It wasn’t until the end that they played the theme song which was an amazing end to the show. I did actually vlog parts on my YouTube channel, if you want you can watch that here if you’re interested. Overall I really enjoyed the show it was incredible but I know it’s not everyones cup of tea, however if you’re a Doctor Who fan like me then I can assure you that this will not disappoint!
