The days are now cold and dark, there are fairy fairylights and fireworks, and the Christmas decorations are starting to be displayed making everywhere feel very festive. As the seasons change so do the makeup products that I like to use, I go for lighter shades in the warmer months whereas in the colder months I prefer darker shades and shimmers.
I have a few lipsticks to share with you, the first being this Rogue Dior 999 lipstick known as ‘The Dior Red’ which is meant to be a classic red shade that is suited for all women. It’s creamy, highly pigmented and is a beautiful shade, it is the perfect lipstick for the upcoming festive season. You can wear this as a statement lip however you can dab it on if you want a more stained look, also the packing is very elegant and luxurious.
Next up is MAC Diva which you’ve probably already heard about as it’s a lot of peoples favourite at this time of year. It’s described as an ‘intense reddish burgundy’ with a semi-matte finish. I find some matte lipsticks from MAC to be quite drying however this is definitely one of their more comfortable matte lipsticks and is another great statement shade.
The last lipstick is Rimmel Kate Moss in #107 Wine which is a gorgeous deep red wine shade, everyone knows about this lipstick and it’s one that has been a favourite of mine for years. It has a matte finish but is easy to apply on the lips and has a creamy texture. I always apply lip balm before using this lipstick as it helps to stop my lips drying keeping them soft.
If I’m honest I don’t actually use highlighters that often, however the Model Co Highlighting Trio is beautiful. You can achieve a subtle sheen to a bronzed glow, for me this depends on the occasion whether I’m just going out for the day or to an event in the evening. It’s a cream to powder formula and glides on easily giving a beautiful shimmering incandescence.
The Smashbox Limitless Cream Shadow in Quartz is a shimmery soft rose gold and I’ve been wearing it a lot recently. If you’re in a rush or don’t want to spend long on your eyeshadow you can just quickly glide this onto your eyelids and blend a little, it’s very creamy and one of my go-to eyeshadows at the moment. I wear cream eyeshadows a lot more in the colder months as they are longer lasting when the weather is chillier and they’re quick and easy to apply.
I’ve been obsessed with rose gold for quite a while now and this MAC nail polish in Soiree is a shade I go back to every single year. It’s a metallic rose gold which is beyond beautiful, I could rave about this all day and always get lots of compliments when I’m wearing this out. It applies easily and is long lasting which is a bonus as I’m one of those people who love having their nails painted but hate painting them, so I don’t have to reapply often with this polish which I love.
YSL Black Opium is a warm and seductive scent however not too sexy with a combination of oriental florals and sweet fruity notes. The black glittery bottle has a slightly festive feel to it and looks beautiful on my desk along with my other fragrances, it’s perfect for both day and night however I prefer to use it more as an evening fragrance. They are all my favourite beauty products for autumn and winter, let me know if you have any favourites as I’d love to check them out!

Black Opium is a firm favourite of mine too! It’s been my winter perfume for two (even maybe three, I can’t remember now haha) years and I still love it so much. Such a deep, sexy scent!
Soiree is such a gorgeous nail polish! At first I thought it was a pigment eyeshadow, if such a thing existed I would get my hands on it straight away!
