Feeling Like a Princess

There’s something very princessy about tulle skirts and I absolutely love them! I know the whole hype around tulle skirts has faded a little but I still love them, they’re super flattering as they’re high waisted so cinch you in around the waist and flare out beautifully. I now have a few in my collection however this blue tulle skirt is possibly my favourite out of them all and I love styling them up. These photos were taken on my birthday weekend where me and my family went for a lovely afternoon tea at Quod in Oxford. The food was delicious there and we all enjoyed the sandwiches, little cakes and scones with strawberry jam. If I could enjoy an afternoon tea every day I definitely would, who wouldn’t?! I had only been to Quod once before for dinner on New Years Eve but it was been very good so I knew that the afternoon tea was going to be amazing too.
The crochet top that I’m wearing is a new one I purchased recently from Oasis. It has small feminine ruffles on the front and the back with beautiful floral crochet detailing. Oasis is a store I tend to forget about however I’ve purchased a few lovely pieces lately and I feel like I’ve rediscovered my love for them, it’s definitely somewhere that I’ll be shopping from a lot more in the future especially now that the weather is starting to change.
