Why Going On Holiday Is Good For You

Just like a lot of people I love going on holiday, it gives me the chance to unwind and to get away from all the stresses and strains of everyday life. There are so many reasons why I love going away and thought I would share a few of them with you today as I’m going on a cruise next month for a few weeks and I’m extremely excited.

Mental Health
Going on holiday does an amazing job on my mental health, I know this isn’t the same for everyone but for me I find it drastically improves. Having the chance to forget about everything going on and living in my own little bubble with Aaron for a few weeks helps me to de-stress and my worries seem to just fade away (almost). This also means that the quality of my sleep is a lot better which leaves me feeling more energised and less on edge.

Happiness
When you’re away you have the chance to do what you really enjoy and make the time for it. At home there’s always something on my to-do list so I don’t always have time to relax with a book or have a long soak in the bath as much as I would like to. However, when I’m abroad I don’t have anything to do apart from enjoy myself so I love sitting on the balcony looking out at the sea and getting lost in a good story. Everything I do is to give myself enjoyment, whether that is trying something new for dinner, or going for a swim in the sea and it all creates extra happiness and a sense of relaxation.

Summer Outfits
I must admit that holiday shopping is my favourite type of shopping, I love purchasing new clothes to wear whilst I’m away and there’s nothing like a wardrobe refresh! This Jets Haven bikini set from Simply Beach is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so excited to wear it next month when I go away on my cruise. Bikinis are one of my favourite pieces to buy for holiday and this has a stunning tropical leaf print which is very eye-catching and is amazing quality, you’ll be sure to see me wearing this enjoying the hot weather on my Instagram soon. Sometimes I find that bandeau tops don’t always fit right however this has a wide contrast underbust band which gives extra support and comes with a removable halterneck strap, also the gathered bottoms fit perfectly. Creating Memories
Even though it’s sad when you come back from an amazing holiday the memories you are left with are treasured forever and you can share them with your family and friends. Me and Aaron spend basically all of our time together anyway, however when we’re away the quality of that time together improves. There’s no internet or social media to check and it’s really lovely being disconnected from everything, making new memories together and sharing new experiences.

These are only a few of the reasons why I love going away which makes me even more excited for my cruise next month, I can’t wait to spend a few weeks relaxing and exploring the countries I’ll be visiting.
