Grosvenor House Afternoon Tea with Red Letter Days

I’m sure you’ve heard of Red Letter Days before, well-known for their exciting experiences they offer. When they first come to mind I imagine their once in a lifetime experiences such as skydiving or their popular driving days, however they have such a range of difference activities with something for everyone. They were set up in 1989 and pioneered the concept of giving unforgettable experiences as gifts, fast forward a few years they’re now the go-to gift experience company with their iconic red box. Making memories is at their core and their experiences make such lovely gifts which create memories that last a lifetime.grosvenor house afternoon teagrosvenor house afternoon tea I’m going to be sharing one of their incredible experiences that would make such a lovely gift this Christmas for a loved one, and something that you can share together. Set in a typically British stately home environment with views overlooking Hyde Park, the Park Room at Grosvenor House is an idyllic central location to enjoy the quintessentially British tradition of Afternoon Tea. It’s central location being only a few minutes walk from Oxford Street, the tranquility of the Park Room offers respite from the shops and sights of London. Upon arrival we were given a tea menu which has a very extensive list and included a variety of teas with everything from smoky black tea, to refreshing white tea. Included within our experience was bottomless champagne which was delicious, they refilled our glasses throughout our time there, not waiting for your glasses to be even half-empty before filling them up again for us. All of the staff was very accommodating and told us about the specific champagne before explaining the afternoon tea. The afternoon tea consisted of open sandwiches, finger sandwiches, scones with a selection of jams and assorted patisseries. As we enjoyed our afternoon tea, the delicate finger sandwiches and buttermilk scones were replenished with our favourites. My personal favourites was the North Atlantic cold water prawn sandwich with classic Marie Rose sauce, along with the raisin scones. Aaron on the other hand loved the Honey roast Yorkshire ham sandwiches with Coleman’s English mustard along with the Roast Aberdeen Angus beed sandwiches with creamed horseradish. Then we finished with delicious patisseries with my favourite being the macaron which was very flavourful.grosvenor house afternoon teaThe afternoon tea at Grosvenor House in London was incredible and a truly luxurious experience. Red Letter Days offer a range of different experiences around the UK, however afternoon tea is one of my favourites that they offer and would make such a memorable gift for a loved one.
