Last week flew by and we’re now in August which I’m pretty sad about as summer is my favourite time of the year, I love everything about it from summer fashion to the hot weather and unlimited ice creams. I’ve seen quite a few people online wishing for autumn to arrive already and I’m totally the opposite, also does anyone else feel like we haven’t had much of a summer this year? There are still some pieces in my wardrobe that I’ve bought but just haven’t had enough warm weather to wear them all, luckily I have my summer holiday next month so at least I’ll be able to enjoy wearing them soon.
I recently bought this skirt from Cath Kidston at Bicester Village and fell in love with the harbour print. It has a seaside scene in a graphic style in a classic ocean blue mono colourway. Recently I’ve found myself loving statement skirts, until this summer I didn’t really own many with prints all over as used to go for plainer designs however I’m now enjoying planning outfits around my skirts especially when they are as beautiful as this one.
I thought it went perfectly with this little crochet top however I also love to wear it with a white cami top particularly in the evening with a pair of heels. You might already know that I have a slight obsession with crochet, it has happened the past few summers and I love all the different ways that you can add crochet pieces into your outfit.
Wedges in the summer are gorgeous, I generally don’t wear heels that often unless I’m going to event but I do love to wear wedges for both the day and evening. These are the Graceland Wedge Sandals which have a beautiful beaded leaf detail with a woven finish on the sides, I’ve been wearing them quite a lot as they seem to go with a lot of pieces in my wardrobe as just add a little something extra to my outfits.
I love the style of this outfit and hopefully we will get more hot weather and that the summer isn’t over yet so I can wear this again soon. Maybe I could style the skirt with a thin jumper? I’m not sure if it would look right so let me know what you think as I would love to still be able to wear it even when the weather is not so great.

I love this outfit and I think you could probably get away with styling the skirt with a thin jumper! x

What a gorgeous skirt, the print is amazing! Cath Kidston makes the cutest clothing. This look will be great when you go on holiday, it is true that summer is flying by so quickly and it makes me quite side to see rain and grey skies already. Let’s hope these last weeks of August give us a few days of bright sunshine so we can keep wearing summer clothes like that :D
