Home Is Where the Heart Is

IMG_9658 IMG_9657 I’ve lived in Oxford my whole life apart from my 3 years at University in which I lived in Derby and the past year where I had been living in Leicestershire. Last week I moved back to Oxford and I feel that I appreciate the city I grew up in a lot more now after being away, it’s a beautiful place rich in history and beautiful buildings everywhere and even though it’s a city I’m very close to the countryside. I love taking a walk down the river and having a drink on the riverside, walking around the shops surrounded by lovely architecture and all the independent stores and cafes (I really missed G&D’s which does the best ice cream!). I love it here and it was definitely the right decision to move back, I plan on living here for another few years and maybe I might move away again to live somewhere by the sea, but at the moment I feel like I fit in here the most and I’m glad to be back. Now that I’m back I thought I would take some photos of my outfit in the city centre and make some use of its beauty.IMG_9659 IMG_9653I picked up this little crop top from Zara and fell in love with the embroidery all over it along with the crochet edging at the bottom which is really sweet. Crop tops and high waisted shorts have been one of my go-to outfits over the summer as they are perfect for casual days. These shorts are the ASOS Mom shorts and I was so pleased about how they fitted, most shorts are normally too baggy around my waist however these fit perfectly!IMG_9619IMG_9607There’s not that much colour in this outfit so decided to add a little pop of colour with this Butler & Wilson bracelet and my Cath Kidston bag. It has a patchwork design all over in lots of lovely colours and makes it perfect for the summer and to brighten up an outfit. It’s also the most perfect size as I can fit everything I need inside but can’t stuff it full so only end up taking what I need  which mans I don’t end up carrying a heavy bag around which I love!

Oxford is such a beautiful city! Sometimes it is when we are away from home that we realise how much we love it and all it means to us. You’ll be making lots of new memories and live amazing moments there again, which is great :)
Your crop top is gorgeous indeed! And of course, one can never go wrong with a Kath Kidston bag :D
