How I Stay Organised with Blogging

how I stay organised with blogging

It can be hard to juggle a blog when working full time or if you are in full time education, so these are some tips that keep me organised and made it easier to blog whilst in my final year at University. I hope they help some of you!

Invest in a Weekly Planner
This is the best thing that I ever did, I picked up my A4 weekly planner for about £2.99 from The Works and it has 52 pages so enough for the whole year! On a Sunday I like to fill in my planner and write down what I need to do each day for the upcoming week (e.g. what posts are going up on what day, taking photos, etc), it has helped me clear my mind and become so much more organised.
Write a To-Do List
My planner also works as a to-do list as on each day I have a list of what I need to do for that day and just cross them off when I have completed them. It’s such a satisfying feeling crossing off things on a list!
Write Your Ideas Down
Now I always have my phone with me so I just use the note app to write down ideas as soon as they pop into my head, but you could also write them down in a notebook.
Take Photos in Bulk
This isn’t something I do with my outfit posts but I do this with my beauty posts. When I have a few things that I want to review I will take photos of all of the products in one go as I find it’s so much quicker, also they’re then on your computer ready to be edited and used.
Have a Schedule
I know this tip won’t be for everyone but I have a blogging schedule (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) which makes it easier for me to plan posts. You don’t have to completely stick to this as even though I always post on those days, sometimes I will also post on other day of the week too if I want to put up more posts that week.
Keep Everything in Organised Folders
On my laptop I have a blogging folder, inside that it’s split up into different sections of  completed posts (e.g. fashion, beauty, etc). I also have a folder of photos to edit, and photos I have edited that are ready to go up. It makes it much easier to plan posts and you know what you have done.Let me know if you do any of these things or have any other tips!

The weekly planner is a great idea. I'm juggling blogging and full time work and usually write my blog posts in the morning before work and sometimes I'm left wondering what to write about so planning it ahead is a great idea.
