W7 Cosmetics is a brand I have seen a lot of online, in-store and even at the Clothes Show however I had never tried anything from them before. The company was set up in 2002 with an aim of providing an extensive range of high quality products at an affordable price! I’ve been trying a few of their products recently and I’m ready to share what I thought of them with you.
The first product is the W7 10 out of 10 Eyeshadow Palette in Brown (£5.95*)which features a range of ten neutral shades in both matte and shimmer. All of these shades are beautiful however they vary slightly in pigmentation, as you can see the pale matte shades don’t show up that well however the shimmers are pigmented and show up a lot better. It doesn’t really bother me as there are only 3 matte shades and 7 shimmer, plus they look beautiful when they are on. If you like wearing neutral shimmer shades like me then I think you would enjoy this palette.
The W7 Absolute Lashes Mascara (£6.95*) looks extremely similar to Benefits They’re Real Mascara but at a fraction of the price so I was excited to see if the product itself was similar. When I applied the mascara I found it a little uncomfortable as it had a slight sharp feel to it, it didn’t hurt or anything but you could just feel the brush on application. I found that it separated the lashes well giving them length and volume whilst not flaking. Even though this isn’t a dupe for the Benefit They’re Real Mascara, I like the effect it gives my lashes regardless.
I am obsessed with lipsticks and they are my favourite makeup product, W7 Butterkiss Lipstick (£4.50*) is such a beautiful cherry red shade. I think this is inspired by NYX’s Butter Lipsticks however I haven’t tried any of them so couldn’t compare. When applied this lipstick glides onto the lips and is very creamy, it also has good pigmentation and was fully opaque with just one swipe! The lipstick doesn’t bleed or dry out my lips, it actually feels quite moisturising and lasts a good few hours before I need to reapply.
I normally only go for high end foundations as I’ve found the quality is a lot better, however I was looking forward to trying out the W7 Captain Matte Foundation (£4.95*) to see if it could sway me into trying out more drugstore brands. Honesty I was pleasantly surprised at this foundation and if I had blind tested this I would have thought it was more expensive than it is. The shade ‘Natural Beige’ is a little too dark for me so I won’t be using it again until I have a tan in the summer as then it will be a perfect match. I found it blended really easy and you can’t see it on the skin once it has been applied, I love foundations that you can’t see on the skin and feel weightless. It’s a medium to full coverage as it’s easily buildable and has a matte finish, it lasted the whole day for me even though I have oily skin.Overall I liked the brand with my favourites being the foundation and lipstick, it was nice to try out a brand I had heard a lot of before but hadn’t ever got round to trying them out. I feel like this brand is a dark horse in the cosmetic industry, their products are amazing value yet I never hear much about them. Have you tried anything from W7 before and what did you think?

It's such a beautiful lipstick! x
The lipstick looks great, I might try them in the future!
Recently I've tried the mascara, because I read a blog post saying it was so good… even though I do like it, I agree with you: it is not a dupe of the They're Real. But for its price, it doesn't really matter that much!
I've also tried their Chunky Eyes stick, and though the colour is amazing (I've chosen a deep brown, Cappuccino), it doesn't stay on very well and goes in the crease immediately… Maybe if it is applied with some eyeshadow primer, it can last longer.
For now I'm not that satisfied with the brand, although it is cheap and you get what you pay for. But I might try the lipsticks, thanks for this post!

Definitely one of my favourites from them :)
I have never gotten a chance to try any W7 products – I have never seen them in any of the stores here in Germany – but their products look really affordable and well-made for their price.
