You’ve had a bad day? It’s okay and here’s why…
Sometimes life becomes very hectic and everything gets too much, then add lack of sleep into the equation and everything suddenly feels like it’s falling apart and you don’t know how to crawl out of the hole you’ve found yourself in. It happens to all of us! And if it doesn’t happen to you then you’re extremely lucky as I personally don’t know anyone who hasn’t felt overwhelmed and stressed at some point in their lives. When this happens to myself I normally know why and take some time out, now that doesn’t mean ignoring everything that is on my to-do list (that’s normally as long as a novel) but prioritising myself. Sometimes I need to keep in mind that everything doesn’t have to be done straight away and I have time to take a step back to overcome that feeling of helplessness and being weighed down by a mountain of tasks.
Even though social media may give the impression that life is all roses, in reality this is not the case and everyone is allowed to have a bad day regardless of how minor their problem or situation may seem to someone else. Everyone deals with stress and problems in different ways, due to the simple fact that everyone is very different. Some people may dive straight into organisation mode and sort out all the problems, others may bury their head in the sand whilst it may not effect some people in the slightest. Everyones feelings are valid, we should respect that and remind ourselves that we are all different. What’s stressful to myself might not be stressful to you, and vice-versa.
Just a quick note if you were wondering about my outfit, this beautiful floral off-the-shoulder dress is from Tobi and I’m obsessed with this style at the moment (as you might have gathered if you read my previous style post here). Check them out if you’re after some lovely new summer pieces for your wardrobe!
Anyway to end this post remember to be kind to yourself and know that it is okay to have a bad day, you’re not alone as everyone has them but that also doesn’t invalidate your problems and stresses.

Love this! I’ve definitely learnt to accept in recent years that sometimes my day will be rubbish, no matter how hard I try to make it otherwise! It’s important just to take a step back and time out, and pick yourself up ready for the next day!xx
