Klorane Nettle Shampoo for Oily Hair – Review

Unfortunately, I’m one of those people that has to wash their hair every day as if I wash it in the morning, it will be greasy by the time I go to bed. This is a complete nightmare as since I have long hair it takes a very long time to wash and dry.
Luckily, Escentual introduced me to a miracle product by Klorane, their Nettle Shampoo for Oily Hair*. Now I’ve tried lots of different products for oily hair and none of them have worked, until now! This shampoo deeply cleanses and restores balance to the scalp by controlling the amount of oil your scalp produces. The secret ingredient that does this is called scopoletine which is an extract from nettle.
This shampoo states that it aims to reduces the number or times you have to shampoo your hair and it definitely does that, I have been using this for about 3 weeks and have seen a major difference. When I first started using this shampoo I washed my hair daily and didn’t see a difference straight away, but about a week into using it my hair wasn’t looking oily at night time, in fact it wasn’t oily the next day! I was so happy about this as have never experienced my hair to be not greasy by the next day, now I only have to wash my hair every other day. In about a week I can see myself washing my hair every 2 days which is incredible.
So onto a few little details about the shampoo, I can’t really explain the smell, but it leaves your hair smelling naturally fresh which I love as I am not that overkeen on strong scents on my hair. The consistency is quite runny so you don’t have to struggle squeezing it out.
It’s normally £6 for a 200ml bottle but on the Escentual website at the moment it is on offer at £5.10 which I think is brilliant, the saying ‘a little goes a long way’ is particularly true for this product! If you don’t suffer from oily hair I would still recommend having a look at what other products Klorane have as they also cater for coloured, dry and dull hair just to name a few!
Thank you so much to Escentual for sending me this shampoo to try out, it’s been amazing on my hair and now that I don’t have to wash it every day, I don’t have to get up as early in the mornings!

I was lucky enough to receive this too :) unfortunately I haven't found that it has worked for me sadly. It's a shame as I really like the idea of it.

I'm liking the sound of this shampoo as I have a similar hair type as you. I need something that can sort out my oily roots and my dry ends, I think I've been cursed!

Sounds like a great shampoo Rebecca, how do you think it would be on coloured hair? I'm looking for something that will get my hair really clean but won't strip it.

    Thank you,

My hair is coloured and it hasn't stripped my hair at all, so it's completely fine to use :) x
