I’m excited to share with you the Lookfantastic Box for June, it’s something that I love to receive every month as it’s like a little surprise in the post! It costs £15 a month and unlike other beauty boxes it isn’t a rolling subscription, you can just purchase the one box if you wanted to (although they also do 3, 6 and 9 month subscriptions too). The main focus this month seemed to be skincare which I was really happy about as skincare products are my favourite at the moment, plus I was starting to run out of a few bits so it couldn’t have come at a better time!
Monu is a brand that I have used before in the past and love their products, they use pure ingredients which are naturally beneficial for the skin. The Firming Fiji Facial Oil (worth £7.80) is designed to nourish, protect, firm and tone the skin. I personally find facial oils to work really well with my skin, however as my skin is naturally oily I like to use them in the evening before going to bed. Moving onto the Clarifying Shampoo (worth £2.79) by Kebelo, these shampoos are something I have heard a lot about recently. Using a lot of different types of products on the hair can cause a product build-up making the hair greasy and heavy. This clarifying shampoo is meant to cleanse and rejuvenate the hair, now mine tends to get oily very quickly so I’m excited to see if this works for me. Now onto a brand that I absolutely love, Balance Me. This Pure Skin Face Wash (worth £6.40) effortlessly removes makeup without stripping the skin of its natural oils. I’ve already been using it and love it so far, actually there isn’t a product from this brand that I don’t love.
The Trilogy Everything Balm (worth £2.15) is such a great idea, it’s a rescue balm which can be used for so many different things from a lip balm, to a hand cream, to a face and body moisturiser. It comes in a little pot so can easily be popped into your bag and it also smells amazing! Another multi-purpose product is the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse (worth £1.96) which can be used on the face, body and hair. This is also a travel friendly size so I’m going to use this when I go away anywhere overnight as it will help me save on space in my bags. The oil has a non-greasy feel and has a slightly warming fragrance. The last product is the Nude Ultimate Lip Colour Pencil (worth £2) from Lord & Berry which takes me back to the times when I first started wearing makeup, this is a brand I used as a teenager. I don’t wear nude lips often however this will be good on days when I want to go for a ‘no makeup’ makeup look. It’s creamy, easily blendable and quite moisturising (nothing worse than a lip pencil which dries out your lips!).
As I’m a big fan of skincare products I loved this box however wasn’t as amazing value in comparison to previous boxes as the products came to a total of £23.10. Although this is still good considering the box costs £15 and the fact that I loved the products which were included this month.
