Louis Vuitton Alma BB | Rose Ballerine Epi Leather

I’ve been lusting after the Louis Vuitton Alma BB bag for a while however it seemed to always be out of stock online, so when I visited the boutique on New Bond Street in London and they had one left of the Louis Vuitton Alma BB Rose Ballerine in Epi Leather, I couldn’t resist! The reason for purchasing this bag is because I wanted a luxury bag which was suitable for both day and evening wear, but also something much smaller than others in my collection as most of my bags are medium to large in size. At the time of purchasing this the price was £1090 and it’s made in France.

It’s a small structured bag however you can fit a surprising amount inside, I was concerned that my Louis Vuitton Emilie Wallet (my main wallet) wouldn’t fit, however it did easily. The bottom of the bag is fairly wide and as the zip goes all the way around, it’s easy to look through your bag for your items. It’s surprising just how much you can fit inside!

Rose Ballerine Epi Leather

The Rose Ballerine in Epi Leather looks beautiful and I feel that it’s more subtle than most of my other Louis Vuitton bags which are mainly in the Monogram and Damier Ebene. Epi leather is very hardwearing so even though this is in a pale colour, it should last well and won’t have to worry too much about the bag getting marked when using it.

Two Different Ways to Wear

Even though the design of this bag is crossbody, you can remove the strap and just hold the handle either in your hand or on your arm which makes it great for transitioning from day to evening. The strap is one length so it’s not adjustable, however it sits on a nice place on my body which I’ve also shown on my YouTube video to give you an idea of how it might sit on you too (I’m 5ft 7″ for reference). As I wear a lot of pale colours in the summer and winter, I’m going to enjoy wearing this bag all year round as it’s quite easy to incorporate into my outfits.

I wanted to show how you attach the crossbody strap to the bag incase this is a factor when making the choice whether to purchase or not. The silver hardware is different on the left to the right on both sides, you can notice a curved piece of hardware on each side of the bag which is where you attach the strap.

Silver Hardware & Details

The silver hardware perfectly compliments the Rose Ballerine colour of the bag and I love all the little details. It comes with a padlock with the keys in a leather pouch on the front and I think these look lovely kept on the bag. As the padlock is on the zipper end which I don’t use it doesn’t get in the way and further compliments the bag, however I have also seen people put this on the handle. The zipper goes all around the bag which is needed as the bag is very structured, so it makes it easy to open and get anything you need from inside.

The bottom of the bag has four small silver studs to protect the bottom of the bag. Even though I would never put this bag on the floor, it still helps to protect it if placing on a table or on a chair next to you. The interior of the bag is in a matching pink and is incredibly soft with a small flat pocket on the inside.

I’m completely in love with the Louis Vuitton Alma BB Rose Ballerine in Epi Leather, the look of the Epi Leather in the pink is a lovely combination. It’s a high quality bag and everything is perfect from the stitching to the hardware and handles. The clasps on the strap are high quality and the zipper is smooth and easy to open. It’s available in other Epi Leather colours as well as other designs such as the Damier Ebene which is slightly less inexpensive in comparison, but equally as beautiful.
