Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask is described as a calming and moisturising fresh face mask which sounds great as I have irritable and sensitive skin. It includes lots of ingredients to help soothe and soften the skin such as blueberries, rose, almond oils, calamine and chamomile. I was quite interested that it contained blueberries as these are known to be packed full of vitamins and minerals. It smells of blueberries which is really refreshing and actually makes me want to eat it because it smells so good!
The face mask is meant to be kept in the fridge, so when applied it’s lovely and cold which feels soothing. I apply a generous layer to my skin after cleansing and leave for 5 – 10 minutes. Even though it dries on the face it doesn’t feel uncomfortable or tight. After I wash it off with warm water before splashing my face with cold water to close my pores. I instantly saw a difference the first time I used this product, normally my skin is a little red after using face masks but this product did not have this effect. Instead my skin tone looked more even and any blemishes I had were less angry. The product doesn’t strip my skin and feels moisturised and soft.
At the moment this is my favourite face mask as it just does wonders to my skin, my complexion has started to look more even, bright and clear over the past few weeks. It retails at £6.25 for a 75g tub from Lush, when I have finished this I will definitely be purchasing another tub.
Have you tried out any fresh face masks from Lush?

If I had to pick one face mask, it'd be a blueberry one.. so this is ticking all the right boxes!! I'll have a look next time I find myself in Lush! :)

I really like this face mask, though having blueberries stuck to my face is a bit weird! I'm using the Mask of Magnamity now, and it's self preserving – it's lasted me ages!! It's also very good for my sensitive skin.
