MAC Wash & Dry: Highlight Powder in Freshen Up

MAC Wash & Dry Highlight Powder Freshen Up Review

MAC Wash & Dry Highlight Powder Freshen Up Review Swatch

I am so excited to share this beautiful Highlight Powder in Freshen Up from the MAC Wash & Dry Collection. This is a new collection for Summer 2015 and it’s all absolutely gorgeous. Lets start with the packaging which screams summer, it’s a beautiful metallic ombre which reminds me of a sunset and makes me super excited for the warmer months ahead! It’s a tri-coloured powder which is highly pigmented, the design of the powder is wavy with a gold overspray which reminds me of the beach.

(left to right): mid-coral, fuzzy peach, pastel banana, shades swirled together

As you can see there are shades which are described as a pastel banana, fuzzy peach and mid-coral all with fine shimmer particles. There is a pearlised gold overspray however this is gone after the first use, but when the shades are swirled together it creates a gorgeous deep coral blush which looks lovely on the apples of your cheeks. I also use the lightest shade on it’s own as a highlighter as it’s very subtle and gives a beautiful look. As it’s highly pigmented if you have pale skin like me make sure to tap excess product off the brush after swirling it in the powder as a little goes a long way.

Overall I absolutely love this blush, everything about it is beautiful from the packaging, to the embossed design, to the gorgeous coral shade. I’m excited to get a tan for the summer as I think this would be even more beautiful on sun-kissed skin. It’s £25 and I’m not sure how easy this will be to get a hold of as they have sold out online, however it would be worth checking a MAC counter/store near you if you’re wanting to pick this up!

I’m going to hope and pray that I can still track this down at a MAC counter soon, although I don’t have very high hopes! Such a stunning compact and peachy shades are my favourite, especially during summer!

    This product looks seriously beautiful.
I would really consider getting it, but I won’t be living near a mac counter for another three months. :(

Does it have a shade for medium skin tone? I love the looks of this but I think it would be too light for my skin and probably wouldn’t show up.
