When the Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection (£14.99) arrived at my door I fell in love, the rose gold handles are incredibly beautiful and the brushes are made from soft synthetic hair. They remind me of the Real Techniques Bold Metals collection which may be where the inspiration came from as Makeup Revolution is very well known for their amazing dupes.
First is the Powder, Sculpt & Blend brush which is amazing at blending. With some brushes it can be hard to achieve a ‘natural’ contour look as they are good at precision but not so much with blending, however this is great at both. It’s the perfect size to contour around the face not just the cheeks. Next is the Ultra Metals Eyeshadow Blender brush which is amazing at blending out eyeshadow, especially in the crease. I tend to use this after applying my eyeshadows to blend everything together to finish my look. Then there is the Cheek & Highlight Sculpt & Blend brush which is perfect for contouring and giving a more professional and defined look. It’s also the perfect size for to apply blush and I like how it’s it’s quite dense.Lastly is the Foundation & Base Blending sponge, now I always rave about these egg shaped sponges as they give my foundation a more flawless finish than I have ever been able to achieve with brushes. If you don’t have one of these sponges in your life, now is the right time!
Just when I thought Makeup Revolution had reached its peak it brings out even more amazing products, I’ve learnt to never underestimate them. I have found that all of the brushes work well with creams and powders, they dispense just the right amount of product onto the skin. These brushes are affordable and great quality, I could see them making a lovely Christmas present!
