‘For the dreamers’ is this months Birchbox theme as the box designed is inspired by fantastic dreams and is hidden under a scratch coating. I won’t show it as then it will be a surprise if you receive this box yourself, so lets see what beauty products were included in this months box!
I now always use a beauty sponge to apply foundation and concealer so was excited to try out the Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge from Spectrum Collections (also how amazing is that name?!). I use the pointed tip to apply foundation and dealers around my eyes and nose, whilst the round end I use to apply foundation to the rest of my face. It’s such an amazing beauty song and I’ve been using it everyday and it is now a staple in my everyday makeup, it helps to give my skin a flawless finish and blends the foundation easily into the skin.
Caudal are amazing for skincare products, they use natural skin loving ingredients which have great benefits for your skin. This is the Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet which is packed with antioxidant-boosting benefits and the gel-cream formula soothes, hydrates and reduces redness. I have been using this the past few days but can’t give a proper opinion on it yet as haven’t been using it long enough, however loving it so far.
In my kitchen cupboard I already have a massive tub of the Vita Coco Coconut Oil, I use it a lot in cooking however it has addition benefits when use on the skin, hair and body. I’m yet to try out the other uses for coconut oil however you can use it as a moisturiser and even apply to the hair as a mask. The hotter the weather gets the more I stray away from lipsticks and go towards lip balms and stains. Stainiac in Beauty Squeen from theBalm cosmetics is a raspberry tinted stain which can be used to add a flush of colour to the lips and the keeps. Unlike other cheek and lip stains that I have tried in the past, this water-based formula has a longer setting time which gives you more time to blend and get the look that you want.
This morning in the shower I used the Tao Wai Wand Milk Exfoliating Body Scrub from Rituals. It’s very mild and was lovely on my sensitive skin, I could feel the gentle exfoliation as I rubbed this all over my body and it left me feeling super smooth. It contains white lotus a blend of ultra-fine Chinese bamboo particles to leave your skin feeling smooth. Moving onto the last product which is the PK Prep Polishing Balm from Philip Kingsley. It’s a smooth frizz free styling balm which conditions the hair leaving is sleek and glossy. Now my hair is super straight naturally so it doesn’t do anything in terms of styling, however I’ve been using it on the ends of my hair when they have been feeling a little dry and it has helped bring them back to life.
Just like last time I was really impressed with the products inside this months Birchbox. If you want to try it out for yourself it’s £10 a month plus postage (£2.95) and you will receive your little box of exciting beauty products!
