It’s that time of year again and Christmas is just around the corner, it always creeps up so quickly. I’m one of those people who loves to get in the festive mood early, I’ve nearly bought everyones presents and even though it’s November I’ve bought my Christmas tree and my house is fully decorated. I always find men the hardest to purchase for and I feel like for women it’s relatively easy to choose lovely gifts as there’s much more selection to choose from, however there’s not as much choice when it comes to men so I’ve got a few ideas that I wanted to share with you.
The first gift idea is from Master of Malt and it’s the Drinks by the Dram Irish Whiskey Advent Calendar. I know that this is a unisex gift however I wanted to feature it in this gift guide as there isn’t as much choice in regards to advent calendars for men in comparison to women and thought this was a great idea! You won’t find a single chocolate behind these windows as it’s filled with 24 different, 3cl wax sealed delicious drams from the Emerald Isle to enjoy every single day in the lead up to Christmas. It includes some of Ireland’s finest whiskey from single malts and grains, to world-renowned blends and even a single cast which is a real treat! The advent calendar is perfect for those who appreciate a good whiskey or for someone who might be new to whiskey as it’s a great way to try new ones out, or maybe you want to treat yourself and countdown to Christmas in style. This is back due to popular demand so it’s sure to sell out quick this year!
Another advent calendar I want to share with you which is a more affordable option and for those who aren’t whiskey lovers is the Manstuff 12 day advent calendar. Behind each door there are essential mini toiletries as well as a selection of hardware items too. This is from The Present Finder which is the home of unusual and unique presents, you can find something for everyone and they have a wide range of different products. I’m so glad that there are now more advent calendars for men as Aaron says every year that he wishes there was more choice for him as there’s such a huge selection of beauty calendar for women.
This gorgeous Dulwich Designs Heritage wallet is available from Amara which sells luxury gifts and home accessories, they have a wide range of different products which are of high quality. This wallet is constructed from premium Spanish bonded leather and has eight card sections so plenty of space. It’s such a lovely gift idea and it’s the type of gift that someone will own for years as it’s great quality and something that is used on a daily basis.
Baylis & Harding are one of my go-to brands when it comes to buying presents as they have a wide range of different products and do some lovely gift sets for men every year. This is the Baylis & Harding Men’s Citrus Lime and Mint set which includes a wash bag with a 50ml aftershave balm and 100ml hair and body wash inside. It’s a sharp, tangy fragrance which is great for feeling refreshed in the morning and is an invigorating scent.
If you haven’t heard of ‘The Great British Grooming Co.’ before they create products related to traditional grooming and modernise them. Their products contain quick-fixing multi-tasking ingredients which are designed for all men, even those with the manliest of faces. The Exfoliating Face Scrub brightens the skin and is designed to combat oily pores with the help of Bentonite Clay (Volcanic Ash) which draws out impurities. Another product is the Hydrating Moisturiser which is for daily use and is light however hydrates the skin leaving it feeling smooth and matte.
They also have a range of beard products for those men that are proud of their beards and want to keep them looking gorgeous! First is the Beard Oil which contains Argan Oil to help to soften and nourish coarse hair whilst the Thickening Serum contains Keratin and Pro-Vitamin B5 to create a stronger and fuller looking beard. It’s important to keep those beards clean and smelling fresh which is where the Beard Wash comes in, it gently cleanses and untangles facial hair leaving it scented with subtle notes of cinnamon, cedar wood and bergamot. Then finally there’s the Beard Balm which is formulated with Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Argan Oil to not just nourish the facial hair, but also tames flyaways. A few of ‘The Great British Grooming Co.’ products wrapped up in a box would make such a lovely present for someone this Christmas who loves their skincare products or wants to try some new products.
Fragrances make a perfect gift for Christmas and I always purchase Aaron the Bleu De Chanel as it’s not only his favourite but also my favourite of mine for him to wear. It has an aromatic-woody fragrance and is cased in a beautiful deep blue bottle. There’s something very special about receiving fragrances for Christmas and it always feels like such a personal gift.
They are all of my Christmas gift ideas for men, hopefully you’ve spotted something that would make a great gift for someone you know or it has given you inspiration. I have many more Christmas gift guides going up so be sure to keep an eye out for them as they will be up very soon!
