The summer is finally here in the UK and I don’t want the summer vibes to ever end, it’s my favourite time of the year and I’m making the most out of the hot weather! This month Birchbox have collaborated with Millie Mackintosh to help carry our summer through to August whether the sun stays shining or not.
The first product is from a skincare brand that I already love and it is the Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water. Ever since I discovered micellar water I fell in love, it’s more gentle on the skin and removes makeup easily. This one from Caudal has a beautiful refreshing scent, I just apply onto a cotton pad and then wipe all over my dace. Next is the LOC x Millie Ultra-Gloss Lip Pencil in Bohemian Rose which I was very excited about! I loved the LOC matte lipsticks so was excited to see what this was like as it’s the most perfect shade for summer. It’s moisturising and has a gloss finish, I know I will be wearing this a lot over the next few weeks as love the colour. Moving onto Nails inc which is a nail polish brand I have used since I was young, it’s one of my favourites nail brands as they always have such a wide range of shades and the formula is great. This is in the shade Oxford Street which is a muddy brown, it’s not a shade I would normally go for however I’m going to give it a go and try it out on my nails.
The John Freida Frizz Ease Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer is designed to fight frizz and and protect your hair from heat. I don’t have frizzy hair so this isn’t for my hair type however I love hair primers, if this is suited for your hair type then I’m sure it will work great. The last product is the Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask from Indeed Labs. It’s a sheet mask which releases hyaluronic acid into the skin over time to hydrate dry skin. I have oily skin however suffer from some dryness over the colder months so I’m going to save this for when it’s colder and my skin needs an extra boost of hydration.
Overall I was impressed with this months Birchbox with my favourite product being the Ultra-Gloss Lip Pencil! If you want to try out Birchbox for yourself it’s £10 a month plus postage (£2.95) and you will receive your little box of exciting beauty products through the post!

This Birchbox is indeed quite exciting! I’m not a fan of the nail polish shade either though, they should have picked something a little more summery! The Anti-Frizz primer sounds great though, it’ll be super useful to tame the hair, after all the sun exposure it’s going to get these next months :)

Everything looks great but not sure how “Spring” that muddy brown shade is. Such a pity.
