Palm Tree Paradise | June Birchbox 2016

I’ve been enjoying the sun recently here in the UK and this month for June Birchbox has a selection of travel-ready beauty products! I loved the box this month as it was very summery with the palm trees and has been turned into a drawer this month so have popped it on my desk, I hope this new box design is here to stay as I love it and am actually going to make use of the box. The first product is the Absolution Le Nettoyany Purete which is a gel cleanser containing lots of natural ingredients such as camomile, white willow and oats. I always use cream cleansers in the evening to remove my makeup however gel cleansers are lovely to use in the morning as they can be quite refreshing, also the scent of this is lovely. Moving onto the James Read Overnight Sleep Mask Tan for the face, I’ve used this product before but for the body and found it to be quite good. I like that this one is specifically for the face as I find body tanners don’t work as well on the face so I will be trying this out soon.I’m a big fan of Percy & Reed hair products so was excited that there was the Session Hold Hairspray included. It holds my style and isn’t crunchy at all which is so important with a hair spray, plus the bottle design is very cute. Then there is the Jelly Pong Pong in Cake Pop which is a tint for the lips and cheeks, I haven’t used this yet but I think it will be lovely for those hot days when you don’t want to wear lipstick but want a lovely pop of colour on the lips. I think it will also be a lovely flush of colour on the cheeks however when swatched it’s very pigmented so I’m guessing that a little goes a long way. The last product is from one of my favourite brands and is the Laura Mercier Ambre Vanilla Souffle Body Creme. This smells incredible, it’s a mixture of sweet almond, vanilla and honey. It sinks into the skin quickly and keeps my skin feeling smooth and moisturised, I’m definitely going to be purchasing the full size version of this!
