Last week I was invited by Pinterest UK to celebrate their 2nd Birthday with them on their rooftop terrace. Now as you may know I’m a massive Pinterest addict, I’m on it every single day and it’s the first and last thing that I do each day. Beforehand they had made an inspiration board as it was Fiesta themed, and if you didn’t know Pinterest is great for planning themed parties as there is so much inspiration and it’s easy to create a themed board. I just need to talk about their cake for a moment as it was incredible, it was a surprise cake as it was filled with lots of little smarties inside and tasted delicious.
There was a live Mariachi band which played lots of different songs, I actually vlogged the day on my YouTube channel so you can check that out when the video is up if you wanted. They’re actually the same Mariachi band from the Doritos adverts which I thought was quite exciting and they created such a fun atmosphere.
I love how it was all decorated as it was beautiful and definitely had a fiesta feel to it, even the drinks and food were all themed. There was colourful bunting, cute cushions with pom poms and lots of Pinterest bits scattered about (which were all so cute).
For those who enjoy crafts there were crafty things going on, the first one was to make a birthday hat which I did as I love making things. You could also make a cactus/succulent holder, mine is the one on the bottom with the red and the green. I now have the perfect excuse to finally purchase a succulent as I’ve been wanting to get one for quite a while now.
There was also a balloon maker and my inner child literally squealed with excitement. She was super talented and literally could make anything, Aaron chose Batman whilst I decided on a unicorn which both can sit on your shoulders. Other people had pineapples, ice creams, flamingos and lots of other amazing balloons.
It was an amazing day and I really enjoyed myself, we both had our faces painted too which was a lot of fun. Happy 2nd Birthday Pinterest UK, your birthday fiesta was amazing and thank you so much for inviting me to celebrate it with you!
