It’s not long until Rimmel release their Spring Summer launches for 2016 and they have some very exciting products which I found all about at their press launch. I’ve been testing some of these over the past two weeks so thought I would share my thoughts on them!
First up is their most exciting launch, the Volume Colourist Mascara (£7.99). This is different to any other mascara that Rimmel have ever released as it’s a semi-permanent lash-tint which darkens lashes gradually over time. You do need to use this every day to see results however now on the days where I’m makeup free my blonde lashes are now a lot darker which I love, I’m definitely going to continue using this for a little longer before stopping to see how long the tint lasts without needing to reapply.
Moving onto the Colour Precise Eyeliners (£4.99), these are available in three shades: white, black and blue. As I have green eyes I don’t tend to wear blue eyeliner as find it doesn’t suit me that much, however I love the white and black. It has a felt-tip point and is perfect for achieving the winged eyeliner look. It lasts insanely well and once applied it does not budge at all, at the press launch I tried these out on my hands and had the lines on there even after showering the next day. However I did then use makeup remover after my shower on my hand it it came off easily, also the white eyeliner is bright white and not chalky which I love.
The Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine Lipsticks (£6.49) are one of my favourites from their new releases and have been using these the most. There are six different shades available and are very hydrating and moisturising. I’ve been wearing the shade #400 Good Mauve (bottom photo on the left) almost everyday recently and it’s definitely my favourite out of them all. They are perfect for Spring and Summer and honestly can’t get enough of these!
The next product is very exciting as it’s Rimmel first ever Sculpting & Highlighting Kit (£6.99) which is designed by Kate Moss. I love the rose gold packaging and it’s perfect to carry around with you or if you’re travelling as it’s all you need to highlight, contour and blush! There are two shades available; Coral Glow which is for fair to medium skin (on the left) and Golden Bronze which is for medium to dark skin (on the right). Even though my skin is fair I have been loving the highlight and blush on the Golden Bronze palette.
I’m always on the lookout for a new primer as it’s one of the only makeup products which I don’t have a definite favourite. Insta Flawless (£6.99) isn’t just a primer but is also a skin tint, it helps to perfect and protect the skin whilst brightening it up and keeping it hydrated. Now I haven’t actually tried these out yet but will in the week, feel free to tweet me if you want to know how I get on with these. They are available in two shades: light medium and medium dark.
Brow This Way (£4.99) is a highlighting brow pencil which is perfect for opening up and brightening the eye area. The formula is lovely and it glides on easily, it’s also easy to blend which is so important as no one wants a harsh highlight line under their brows!
The last release are the Super Gel Nail Polishes (£5.99) which are available in an amazing 20 different shades, completely spoilt for choice with these! This is a two-step system which is meant to last for up to 14 days and dries like regular nail polish. You use two coats of the colour followed by two coats of the top coat which reinforces and strengthens the polish. I’m in mixed minds about this as have had the shade Cocktail Passion on my toes for two weeks now and on my nails for a week and find it incredible that they haven’t chipped, however the shade New romantic chipped after a few days. Maybe different shades last better than others? I’m not quite sure however am going to try the other shades out too as did have amazing results with Cocktail Passion and hope that the formula is the same for the others.
I’m very excited about all of the new releases from Rimmel and they will be available nationwide from 16th March. You can check out my vlog on my YouTube channel if you want to see what I got up to at the Rimmel press launch, and feel free to tweet me if you want to know how I’m getting on with the products!

I love the look of their new sheer and shine lipsticks! and I’m so intrigued by their new gel range, it’s a shame the second one you tried didnt last as long, but for some strange reason it’s always the same with nail polishes xx

All these new products are so exciting! The mascara seems great, and I love the Brow this Way as well, it looks like a colour I’d love using to highlight lightly for everyday makeup looks. :)

I think the shades are all beautiful! :)
The liners look like such fun! When I was first wearing makeup I used to wear a white cat-eye, so I’d be interested to try that again.
