It Started Off as a Sunny Weekend

What started off as a sunny weekend has now turned gloomy and rainy. I guess this is a massive sign that summer is basically over and is definitely something I’m not a fan of. I’m more of a summer person and when the weather starts to make a turn for the worst it makes me a little sad as I can’t wear pretty dresses anymore and I’m always really bad with the cold, I’ve already started to put my electric blanket on in the evenings as it’s getting a little chilly.I purchased a few new Yankee Candles recently (my favourite being Danish Butter Cookie) to make the house more cosy however instead of feeling autumnal I’ve found myself feeling very festive, I even bought my first Christmas decoration of the year from TKMaxx the other day which is a little ridiculous but I couldn’t resist. It was a little dachshund wearing a Christmas hat, how could I ever not take him home?! It’s an odd combination feeling festive but also clinging onto the last moments of summer as you never want it to go away. I want to purchase some pretty dresses that I can wear over the colder months, most of my dresses are only suited for the summer so I think it would be quite nice to have a few more that I can wear over the next few months. Maybe I won’t miss summer as much? If you’ve seen any lovely dresses lately or know anywhere which is selling pretty dresses that would be good for the cold months then I’d love for you to let me know.I was wondering if you’re enjoying the weather at the moment? I don’t want the summer to end but I am getting excited about the festive period even though it’s a little early!
