One of my favourite things to do in the summer is have a picnic, and I have been wanting a wicker picnic basket for years! The other month whilst browsing in TK Maxx I spotted some picnic baskets and knew I needed one in my life. I went for the four-person basket as it has a cool bag built in and was much bigger, plus there’s extra cutlery and space if there are more people who are going to join you. I also purchased this picnic blanket from TK Maxx too, the bottom is waterproof and it rolls up small and has a handle to carry it around. There were lots of different designs however since I chose quite a plain basket I wanted the blanket to be a little more vibrant.
I had my favourite lunch at the moment which is salami and mozzarella rolls with some mini cheddars. I kept it quite simple however next time I want to go all out and make some really delicious bits for lunch, I have a Pinterest board on Picnics and BBQ’s which I’m going to use for inspiration. If you have any ideas yourself let me know and also I’d love to know what your favourite food to make for lunch is, I’m always looking to try new things.
To have the picnic we went to one of my favourite places that I used to go when I was little, Millets Farm. There’s plenty of space to sit and relax as well as designated picnic areas, then there are also animals and little shops to look around. After eating we had a little look around at the animals which is something I always have to do as they’re all so cute, especially the alpacas.
