Sunday Morning Rituals

sunday morning ritualsWhat does Sunday morning mean to you?  To me they are all about relaxing in bed and having a very slow start to the day. Sunday mornings are my favourite as there are a few things that happen every week and it’s so lovely to wake up slowly and spend some time enjoying the morning instead of rushing to start the day. So today I thought I would share my Sunday morning rituals!

  • Sleeping in and not getting up so early – I definitely need an extra few hours sleep after a busy week.
  • Breakfast in bed – Normally I something a little more special such as bacon sandwiches or pancakes with a cup of tea (can’t start the day without a tea). Recently I’ve also been indulging in a few Cadbury chocolate fingers after breakfast which isn’t the best but my excuse if that it’s Sunday morning!
  • Getting snuggled up in the duvet whilst watching Sunday morning TV – One of my favourites at the moment is ‘A Place in the Sun’, there also tends to be a lot of good movies on in the morning so I’ll normally pop one of them on afterwards.
  • Morning Reading – Sometimes I’ll do a little bit of reading before getting ready to start the day, I don’t have much time for reading at the moment so it’s nice to spend the rest of the morning doing this.

I’d love to know if you have Sunday morning rituals too and if you do what they are!

I used to laze in bed and catch up on all my Youtube videos on a Sunday morning but I have a puppy now so I’m never up later than 8.30am! My Sunday ritual is now taking him for a walk haha, I love it though so it’s worth the early wakeup!

I don’t really sleep in, but I try to not set an alarm on Sundays and let myself wake up naturally. Unfortunately, this is still usually quite early. But I kind of flip-flop a bit… I will get up and do something, but crawl back into bed with my girlfriend for a nap and a cuddle, then get up again… repeat that until girlfriend actually gets out of bed, and then it’s breakfast. We also go for a Sunday roast every second week or so. And I usually use the day to do general blog admin and to just chill. It really is the best day of the week!

If I didn’t set an alarm I would sleep in way too late, but set it for around 10am so that I don’t wake up and it’s the afternoon! That sounds really lovely, it is definitely one of the best days :)

Sunday mornings are the best! Part of my ritual is what I’m doing right now — sipping on coffee in bed while reading some blogs and magazines to the Sunday morning lineup. Such a relaxing and important part of the week!

I love just spending the day in bed watching telly or YouTube! I can’t start my day without a cup of tea too!

These are my favorite types of posts :) Beautiful picture! I like to be productive on Sunday mornings because that’s the only time I have to work on my blog/business! Saturdays are more for indulging/relaxing and going to the Farmer’s Market, sleeping in, etc. ;)

Opposite way round than me, Saturdays are more busy whereas Sundays are more relaxing! Sounds lovely though :)
