The Body Shop | A True Romance

img_1387-1It’s now December and my planner is quickly filling up with lots of festive parties and events. It’s a great time to change up your makeup look and I love to wear different colours around this time of year such as purples, pinks and browns. I wore this look to an event the other night and have fallen in love with it, I’m definitely all about the shimmers this month and rocking a matte lip.img_1251 img_1394I got inspiration for this look from The Body Shops ‘A True Romance’ makeup look however have changed it a little bit. All the products I’m going to be talking about are from The Body Shop and they’re great for taking your look from day to night. Perfect if you have something to attend after work as you can easily glam up your makeup!img_1441-2 img_1446It’s not just my makeup that I’ve changed recently but my nail polish colours too! This is a beautiful plum shade called Crimson Kiss and I added Gold Foils on top to create a more festive look and I’m obsessed with it, I’ll be wearing these foils over so many different shades in the next few weeks and think it would look amazing on top of a red nail polish.img_1461-1img_1278The True Romance Eyeshadow Quad is quickly becoming one of my favourite palettes and I’ve used it every day since I received it. It features four shades that go beautifully together including a cream matte, brown shimmer and plum shimmers. I wore these dry and they blend beautifully however you can wear these using a wet brush if you want to achieve a more intense colour. Also all of the individual eyeshadows clip in and out of the palette so you can switch shades between palettes which I think is such a great idea. img_1254The Super Volume Mascara made my lashes more full and longer whilst keeping my lashes separated, then I combined this with the Eye Definer as I always love wearing black eyeliner and used the white eyeliner on my waterline to brighten up my eyes. I didn’t use these Eye Colour Sticks in this look as just used the eyeshadow quad however these are beautiful, they’re both shimmery and compliment the colours in the palette well so they are lovely to all use together. My favourite is the shade Siberian Quartz which you can wear on it’s own if you want and blend it out, it’s also lovely and creamy to apply.img_1478img_1483 When attending festive parties I love to wear a shimmery bronzer that gives a subtle shimmer. If you’ve had a long busy day I feel that a little bit of bronzer can make you look much more awake and brighten up your skin.img_1453-1img_1263I’ve been obsessed with matte lipsticks for quite a while now and had never tried any from The Body Shop before, but have now found out that they are amazing. Unlike other matte lipsticks they don’t dry out your lips and are highly pigmented. The shade Rio Fuchsia is such a bold lip colour and I’m in love with it, such a great way to make a statement. During the day I’ve been wearing this makeup look with this Matte Liquid Lip in Taipei Orchid instead, it’s a gorgeous pink shade and easily wearable for the day time if you don’t want to go for such a bold colour like the lipstick.

This is going to be my festive party look for December as it’s so easy to change it up from day to night and I love all the shimmers, also matte lips are a go to for me this season.
