Tinting My Brows and Lashes At Home With Colorsport

Colorsport is a brand that I’ve noticed many times in the stores however had never tried their brow tint or eyelash and brow dye kit before, if I’m honest I was slightly worried about putting dye THAT close to my eyes and was a little paranoid about it all going wrong. However, I’ve been trying the 30 Day Brow Tint and 30 Day Mascara for exactly 30 days now and have been wanting to share the results the past week but have been waiting for the whole 30 days to pass to give you the verdict on whether they live up to this claim.

They’re not a brand that is about fancy packaging but instead produce functional and effective products that deserve more attention, these products allow you to easily maintain your lashes in the comfort of your own home which saves both time and money. It’s much quicker as you don’t need to go anywhere and their products are a lot more affordable, when you work out the cost per use it’s actually extremely inexpensive.The problem with going to the salon is that it is extremely time consuming whereas the Colorsport 30 Day Mascara only takes me around 5 minutes which is no time at all. Inside the box there are a few different times included; an eyelash colour solution, eyelash colour gel, a spoolie and pads to stop any dye from transferring onto your skin. The whole process is very simple and all you do is cleanse, brush on the colour solution and leave for one minute, then add a few layers of the eyelash colour gel. A couple of minutes later all you need to do is wipe away the formula and you have darker and more defined lashes, it’s really that easy. My lashes were noticeably darker and if you’re like me and love to have no makeup days (you’ll know I have a few of these a week if you watch my weekly vlogs) then it’s great as will make you look more awake on those days, and I personally feel  a little more put together even if I’m not wearing any makeup. Obviously please make sure you follow the instructions inside the box carefully if you do try this out yourself, also you MUST do a patch test 48 hours before using both of these products to ensure that you’re not allergic. It says in the instructions how to do this and it’s so important as you want to be safe, I didn’t have any reaction to either of the products so it wasn’t a problem but is important to do just incase.I’m excited to share my thoughts on the 30 Day Brow Tint as I have very sparse brows from over plucking them when I was younger and unfortunately they never grew back the same, the brow tint picks up every little hair which makes them look fuller and more defined which is why I can’t wait to share this product. I’ve been using this in the shade Dark Brown as even though I have light blonde hair it’s only because I dye it lighter and my eyelashes and brows are naturally quite dark. Just like the 30 Day mascara this only takes around 5 minutes too and you need to make sure you cleanse beforehand to ensure your brows are completely clean. It’s advised that you use something such as Vaseline around your brows to prevent your skin from being stained, however I didn’t have any so used a normal lip balm and it worked just as well. All you need to do is mix the dye cream and developer lotion together using the white stick provided until it forms a thick paste then carefully cover your eyebrows with the dye.The instructions recommend leaving it on for up to five minutes for a deeper colour however I left it for around 2 minutes as I was worried about them going too dark although when I removed the dye I realised that 2 minutes was the perfect amount of time for me to leave it. It made the brows more defined, they had a better shape to them and even looked healthier. It’s such a quick and easy kit to use at home and for £8.25 it’s considerable less in comparison to if you had them professionally tinted especially as it offers up to sixteen applications.

Now onto the big question, do both of these last 30 days like the box claims? Honestly? Yes they almost do! I was pleasantly surprised and it wasn’t until around twenty-something days in which I thought I would do them again, brilliant considering I throughly cleanse my face twice a day with a range of different products. I’m so glad that both of these lived up to expectations and do last almost 30 days even with my strict skincare routine. If I had to pick a favourite out of the two it would have to be the Brow Tint as I found it made the biggest difference as sparse brows are a problem for me and it helped this issue, however I loved both of the products and will continue to use them.
