Recently I shared my top high end makeup picks for Spring which a lot of you liked so I thought I would share my drugstore favourites for Spring too as there are a lot of products I have been loving at the moment. I don’t know about you but my makeup changes with each season and these products I’m about to share with you are all amazing for this time of year.
The first product I want to share with you is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I haven’t been using full coverage foundations as much as lately because I find they don’t feel very nice on my skin when the weather is warmer, especially since my skin is quite oily they don’t tend to last as long in the heat. This is a medium coverage foundation and you can’t feel it on the skin at all which I love, it also gives a healthy glow. It contains tiny shimmer particles which reflect the light beautifully when the sun shines onto your face, everything about this foundation screams Spring to me and I have been loving it.
I have been using the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream for those days when I don’t want to wear foundation but want a light coverage on my skin to hide minor imperfections. This is great for brightening up the face, reducing redness and concealing any dark spots. It’s very hydrating and is invisible on the skin, if you’re looking something that gives you a natural glow now that the weather is warming up I definitely recommend this CC cream.
Recently I discovered Maybellines Dream Sun Bronzing Powder which I have been using in place of blusher. When applied it is easy to blend and has a very natural look, perfect for achieving a sun-kissed look. It contains finely milled shimmer particles which look beautiful when the sun is shining. You could also use this for contouring too as it’s buildable and blends easily.
I’m obsessed with the Maybelline Color Tattoos at the moment as they have an amazing formula, are incredible pigmented and are comparable in quality to high end versions. There are two shades in particular that I really like for this time of year, Eternal Gold and Pink Gold. What I love is that both of these can be used on their own as an all over colour which is great for if you’re in a rush, however they blend easily so can be used with other shades if you wanted.
Lastly I had to share my new lipstick loves, the L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks. I’ve actually done a full review on six of the shades from their new collection which you can read about here if you want to find out more about them, however there are two that I think are perfect for Spring. Place Vendome is a medium red with a satin finish, I normally prefer reds in the colder months however there’s something about this exact shade that makes it perfect for the warmer weather. The other one is Erotique which is a medium pink with a hint of brown, although it has a matte finish it’s very moisturising and great to wear everyday.
