Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder Review
I had wanted to try a loose powder for quite a while but as I had only tried pressed powders before I always thought they would be too messy and might give a cakey effect to the skin, however I was excited to try the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder* to see for myself what they were really like.
The Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder is translucent, hypoallergenic and has SPF 30. It was originally designed to be applied over the Dermablend High-Coverage Corrective Foundation to help reinforce the hold of the foundation, however it can be used with any foundation.
Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder Review

As it’s transparent, when applied the colour of my foundation was not altered so I can see this being suited for all skintones. You literally can’t see that this has been applied to the skin and has actually helped to minimise the appearance of my pores which is amazing as I have only found very few other products that do this effectively. I have found that my foundation lasts much longer on my skin but I still need to touch up slightly throughout the day as I have very oily skin. The texture is extremely fine which is probably why it applies so well and gives a matte but natural finish.

Onto the packaging, I was worried that it was going to make lots of mess and wasn’t going to be practical to use, however I was very wrong. After unscrewing the lid there is a soft powder puff to apply the powder with, underneath this is the powder with a sieve so you can control how much you want to use and not waste any product. I found it super easy to apply and to my surprise didn’t make any mess at all! The only downside to the packaging is that it is not compact enough to fit into a small bag but on the other hand is very light.
Overall I am really impressed with this setting powder, you get 28g which is a generous amount and is great value at £17. It’s currently on offer on Escentual at £14.75 which makes it even more amazing!

I've been eyeing up the MAC prep and prime translucent powder but this one is practically half the price and you''re given it a lovely review so I think this one might be better suited to me! (especially because I'm a student and saving £15 is a lot of money to me!) Loving your blog!
