There isn’t anything more classic than a bright red lipstick! Rouge Dior 999 is known as ‘The Dior Red’ which is meant to be a classic red shade that is suited for all women. This lipstick is actually a tribute to Christian Dior’s first lipstick 9, which later got released again as 99, then 10 years later as 999. A little bit of background information for you there!
The formula is extremely creamy which I love but because of this you have to be careful when applying it, it’s also lightweight and has a beautiful shine. It’s highly pigmented and provides full coverage which is essential if you’re going for a statement lip, however you can dab it on if you want to go for more of a stained look. It’s moisturising as even when I have had it on the whole day, I feel as though I have been wearing lip balm, doesn’t dry out your lips at all! When you have a drink the colour comes off on the glass but not off your lips, it’s quite long wearing as even when it does start to fade it doesn’t look that bad as gives your lips a slight stain.
Christian Dior’s packaging is elegant and sophisticated, the lipstick is case in glossy black and silver. It retails at £26 and I will definitely be purchasing more of these as it’s the most luxurious lipstick I have tried!
